Position: Research & Content Development Assistant
Duryea is seeking interns to conduct in-depth research into topics related to its products and to assist with the development of written content for its website, case studies, white papers, and social media. This position will support the marketing department, but is open to engineering students with an eagerness to learn more about industry trends through trade journals and academic papers.
Interns won’t be required to write lengthy papers, but they must be able to produce coherent, detailed outlines with footnoted sources that can be quickly turned into content by the marketing department. They will also brainstorm with their peers to generate ideas for written content and think of new markets or applications for Duryea’s products.
Completion of the program will result in a portfolio of technical articles and web content that can be presented to perspective employers.
Engineering majors who enjoy reading, research and writing are welcome to apply. Must be able to focus for extended periods of time and organize information in a logical and linear manner.
Applicants need to have an understanding of brushless DC motors and internal combustion engines. An interest in, and willingness to learn more, about Duryea’s key applications, such as hydraulics, compressors, blowers, hybrid vehicles, power generation, hybrid motorcycles and electric bicycles is critical to an enjoyable and successful internship.
